I Live In A High Rise Flat, Can I Still Get A Right To Buy Mortgage?

The answer is Yes, you can obtain a mortgage for a high-rise flat. There are some mortgage lenders who will offer this, but they are very few. There are many factors that the mortgage lender will consider following when making their decision on lending, The location of your high-rise flat, The number of levels in the building, The level of the building that your flat is located, The number of flats in the block, The number of flats which are currently owned privately, The construction type of the flat block, The history of the flat block (this may be crime rates in the area etc).

For a flat, the discount level is slightly different, the discount for the qualifying 5 years is 44%, and you will receive an additional 2% discount for every additional year that you have lived in the property in addition to the qualifying time, this will be capped at a maximum of 70%.
