What Happens At The End Of The IVA?

At the end of your IVA period which, your appointed insolvency practitioner will arrange a meeting with your creditors, to notify them that your IVA has been successfully completed. At this point if you have any outstanding debts with these creditors, these will be written off permanently. Within three months of the completion of your IVA your insolvency practitioner will give you what is known as a statement of completion. Your insolvency agency will then pass on this information to credit reference companies that your IVA has been completed successfully. This will then show up on your credit report. It is advisable to check all your credit reference reports, making sure they have been updated and that the satisfactorily completed IVA is recorded.
